
When we are not cleaning canopies and awnings we like to spruce up bespoke property.We began a routine clean on this stunning orangarie, but noticed the water level was unusually high on the flat roof.As the snow melted the water level rose. We began to investigate where the problem was-first by checking the drain hole at roof level. Next we removed the downpipe below- which released the pressure with a huge burst of water as it flowed down from the flat roof. Once all the water had drained away we could remove the downpipe to find out where the blockage had been. We were surprised to see that the small amount of detritus that had accumulated in the pipe could have caused such a big problem for the homeowners. This would have been expensive if left much longer. We recommended a few minor alterations to the drainage system which will prevent this occurring again
