We clean the canvas with a non bleaching non caustic cleaning product that will kill the mould , mildew and algae that is infesting the fibre. We know how to use pressure washers at the right settings and with the correct nozzles without damaging the integrity of the material. Awnings are purposed to be water resistant and need a tight fabric weave to keep this function. Aggressive pressure washing will seperate the fabric so it is no longer a water proof surface. We break down the dirt with suitable cleaning products so a light pressure wash is all that’s needed.
It’s also important to thoroughly clean the underneath of the fabric. Especially not forgetting the metal struts which extend to hold the canopy up.
