We know how to clean your wooden surfaces with care. It is possible to ruin your decking by using the wrong technique with a pressure washer. Or by using harsh chemicals which will destroy the fibres in the wood. This may look good initially but it seriously reduces the life of the wood. We have experience and training in this area and select the correct method for each surface that we treat.

1. First we sweep and rinse away any detritus – this enables us to see the condition of the wood .
We can highlight any danger areas and advise of any areas that need repair
2. We lightly pressure clean along the grain of the wood – this removes a deep film of grime and it does remove the surface level of biofilm
3. Once the excess water has run off we treat the wood with a high purity biocide .This is left on the wood to soak right in to the fibres. It penetrates the substrate and acts as a powerful disinfectant. It kills off the living biofilm and gives a much longer cleaning effect. In fact you will see a slow cleaning process take place before your eyes in the weeks after we have been.
The cleaning product we use is algoclear pro. It has been specially developed to be non aggressive to the actual substance being cleaned -But instead It will kill off the biofilm growing in it. In the case of wood it will destroy the fungi that leads to wet rot and dry rot.
